Samuel Parnass, M.D. Named Vice President of Medical Affairs at Rush North Shore Medical Center
 
Samuel Parnass, M.D., an anesthesiologist has been named vice president of medical affairs at Rush North Shore Medical Center. Parnass has served as acting vice president since 2003 at the 265-bed hospital and will continue to serve as its chairman of the department of Anesthesiology.
 
As vice president of medical affairs, Dr. Parnass aids in the development of strategic initiatives and programmatic growth for the non-profit hospital that serves about one million people in the Skokie and surrounding communities. Dr. Parnass oversees efforts that include physician recruitment and retention.
 
Dr. Parnass is board certified in Anesthesiology and Internal Medicine. He is also an associate chairman for the department of Anesthesiology at Rush University Medical Center, and an associate professor at Rush Medical College.
