RECOGNITION
Special Events and Celebrations for Employees
Rush North Shore sponsors a variety of special events throughout the year:
- Hospital Week – At Rush North Shore we celebrate Hospital Week to recognize all men and women who work in our Medical Center. This is the time we honor all our employees' valued service to our facility. Our week-long celebration includes fitness day, an ethnic diversity fair, ice cream social and other recognition activities.
- Nurses’ Week - We celebrate this annually in an effort to demonstrate the importance our nursing staff. We show support for our nursing staff with weeklong celebrations, recognition programs, speaking engagements and other exciting and fun-filled programs.
- Above & Beyond Recognition Program – “Above & Beyond” is an employee reward and recognition program that recognizes "a job well done" when an employee goes beyond their normal duties and responsibilities. This program lets both our internal and external customers write compliments to our employees.
- Service Awards - We recognize our employees and volunteers for working 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 + years of service. Service anniversaries are determined by our fiscal calendar, July 1 to June 30.
- Employee Health Fair – We annually provide an on-site Health Fair that focuses on health education and risk assessment opportunities and is open to all staff.
- Free holiday meal for those who work Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
- Volunteer Week – National Volunteer week is celebrated every April to recognize and honor our Rush North Shore volunteers.
- Annual Picnic – This annual September event provides employees with an opportunity to enjoy a complimentary picnic style meal.
- Anniversary Date – Each employee receives an anniversary card from the hospital president and a meal pass for our cafeteria.
